Book Update
When I last posted an update, I was beginning the process of formatting my book. A lot has happened since then. The book is formatted and ready to go and I have embarked on the journey to my perfect cover. We are currently on revision #5 of the front cover, and we are getting very, very close to the final cover.
I have amazing friends who have been part of this whole process. I want to give a shout-out to Jen, Carrie, Roxie, and Jeff for beta reading for me; my entire writing group for their feedback; and Jamie for her great eye and help with cover revisions.
While I have been in a holding pattern waiting for each cover revision, I have been developing my author website. This has been as challenging as writing the book. Most of the time, I feel competent when it comes to technology. This is thanks to 28 years teaching high school and especially teaching through a global pandemic. When I sit down to do something like put together a website, though, it becomes clear that I am still a novice. It is getting there, though. This weekend, my friend Jeff will be taking professional photos for my website and the back cover of my book, and the website should be live in the next couple weeks.
So, what is next?
I will be self publishing through KDP Publishing (Amazon). I will be uploading the book in the next week. Once, I get the author’s proof, I will be proofreading before it is ready to go. In the coming weeks, I will be doing a cover reveal on my website, Facebook, and Instagram.
The book should be available for purchase locally and on Amazon in mid to late April.

Hey Angela, sounds like your doing well. Is Amazon the only place l can get the book? I am off all social media and Amazon. Refuse to give my time or $$$ to any of these oligarchs.
Yay! So proud of you!
